Hello!

Hello! I’m Sarah, 28, from Scotland 🙂

From the age of 19 I started suffering with a pretty poorly digestive system, and I soon fell into a vicious cycle battling with my health and emotions. I went through lots of tests and was eventually diagnosed with IBS. I tried everything to help me get some normality back in my life – I stripped my diet right back to gluten free, dairy free and sugar free which did help my symptoms a little but I still had a lot of problems. When I’d just about tried everything a friend suggested I try out the low-FODMAP diet. This was something I had never really heard of. In simple terms a low-FODMAP diet is a diet that involves cutting out foods high in FODMAPS that are difficult for the gut to digest, therefore reducing the symptoms of IBS. Since following this diet, I have developed a much happier relationship with food and have been able to enjoy everyday life more. It has been an exciting road to discovering lots of yummy low-FODMAP foods and meeting fellow FODMAPpers 🙂

Now, I am no expert in nutrition or dietetics, I’m just an everyday girl, trying to fit in a (not so) restricted diet into my everyday life and am looking to inspire others!
