Low FODMAP and Gluten Free Flapjacks

Easy Peasy Flapjacks

Flapjacks are pretty easy homemade treats and are perfect for those of us that lead busy lives. I like to make mine on a Sunday afternoon and they’re the perfect snack for me a work to keep me going throughout the week. I wanted to share this recipe with you as it’s really easy, it’s made up with ingredients most of you will have in your cupboards and it can be adapted to suit your tastebuds.


3 cups oats (I use gluten free)

2 bananas

4 tablespoons maple syrup

6 tablespoons nut butter ( I use half almond and half peanut butter)

3 tablespoons coconut oil (melt before mixing)

A small handful of raisins


Mash up the bananas and add in the wet ingredients and mix well. Add in the oats and mix thoroughly until they are completely covered. Add in the raisins and mix through. 

Line a baking tray with greaseproof paper and transfer the flapjack mix into it, smoothing and flattening it out.

Bake for approx 20 mins at 180 degrees.

Once the flapjacks are cooked, remove from the oven and allow to cool before slicing up.
