Self Care #3 – The Salt Parlour

I have a big place in my heart for the sea. I love to (try and) surf and I find the sea is natures way of calming me. I partial to a surf holiday now and then and have always noticed that the sea water is so beneficial on my skin and and I find being by the sea so therapeutic. So, I’m delighted to introduce you to my next self care review, which is also inspired by the sea. The Salt Parlour makes the most gorgeous scrubs made from sea salt and natural oils. What more could I wish for when practising some self care?

I tried out the ‘Calm’ scrub which I thought would be the most appropriate for practising self care, in order to reduce stress and anxiety, when suffering with IBS. The calm scrub is made from Dead Sea Salt, Pink Himalayan Salt and Rose Oil to calm and soothe the skin. It also contains dried organic rose petals – pretty! The scrub was a lovely scent. The Salt Parlour recommends that you dampen the skin, use the spoon to scoop out the desired amount and rub in circular motions onto the skin (can be used on the face too) and leave for up to 5 minutes before rinsing off. I didn’t even need to moisturise after!

What I really love about The Salt Parlour is that the products are all Natural, Vegan, Cruelty Free and Earth friendly – no plastic packaging! I definitely would like to try out the coffee and coconut one next – I think it sounds delicious. So, if you’re looking for some easy pampering which smells so lovely then look no further than The Salt Parlour, the scrubs come in at small price of £15 and you can buy them here.
